About the Program Course Content
2-Day ABO Review covers topics for the examination. Two sessions are for scheduled for 2-hours of ABO Review, and are scheduled monthly. Participants may choose ABO Review in person at California State Society for Opticians Training Center at 539 South A Street, Oxnard, CA 93030. Or decide to accept the ABO Review by virtual meetings.
Participants will have access to teaching modules for 2-months.
Instructor qualifications
Objective: Provide a 98% outcome of participants to take and pass the ABO exam.
Ruby Garcia is the founder and Executive Officer of the California State Society for Opticians and has been teaching ABO reviews since 2017. Throughout the years of teaching she has increase the passing rate from 40% to 98% in the state of California. States who successfully passed the ABO exam include, New York, Ohio, Colorado, Hawaii, North Carolina and Florida by a virtual meetings and access to modules. Over 600-students have enrolled into the California State Society for Opticians website to prepare for spectacle and contact lens examinations.
Ruby Garcia holds an MBA, Purdue University, has over 20-years work experience in the world of Opticianry and she holds a license in California as a SLD (Spectacle Lens Dispenser) and CLD (Contact Lens Dispenser.
Learning Objectives
Survey results are taken at the end of the course. A testimonial is requested upon participant taking the ABO Exam.
